Feroze Khan’s Wife Rejects “Love Through Violence” Narratives

Dr Zainab, the second wife of Pakistani actor Feroze Khan, has publicly spoken against narratives suggesting that abuse in marriage could be considered an expression of love.

Taking to Instagram, she revealed that her sister-in-law had shown her viral videos where a medical expert claimed that when a husband beats or mistreats his wife, it reflects his affection. The same videos also argued that women should surrender their pride for their husbands’ loyalty.

Dr Zainab rejected these statements as deeply problematic, calling them “wrong, harmful and unpsychological.” She argued that such content creates a culture where violence is seen as acceptable behaviour. According to her, genuine affection should be reflected through dignity, compassion, and kindness rather than control or aggression.

She added that psychology never advises women to abandon their self-worth for the sake of marriage, insisting that mutual trust and respect are the foundation of a stable union. She warned that when professionals promote such damaging ideas online, it gives legitimacy to abusive patterns and may fuel crime rates.

The psychologist clarified that she did not intend to target anyone directly but wanted to raise awareness about the risks of encouraging such attitudes. She noted that many women already face physical and emotional suffering, and urging them to compromise on their dignity only worsens their trauma.

Feroze Khan and Dr Zainab tied the knot in June 2024. His first marriage, with Alizey Sultan in 2018, ended in divorce four years later. The separation involved domestic abuse allegations and a custody battle. Under the court’s verdict, their son resides with Feroze, while their daughter lives with Alizey.
