Muzaffarabad man arrested on spying charges for India
Police in Muzaffarabad have detained a man accused of spying for India, saying he shared confidential material and photographs of sensitive installations with Indian intelligence.
Officials identified the suspect as Obaid Jahangir, a resident of Rawalakot. They said a case had been registered against him at Saddar Police Station under the Official Secrets Act.
According to the contents of the FIR, Jahangir allegedly sent images of restricted areas and passed on secret information across the border. Investigators also claimed that he was paid large sums of money for the material he provided.

Police confirmed that he is being interrogated and that a formal investigation has begun. They added that strict legal measures would be taken against him under national security laws.
Authorities did not disclose which sites had been compromised but stressed that the alleged spying posed a serious threat to security.
