Pakistan Defeats U.S in Volleyball Showdown

KARACHI: Pakistan’s U19 volleyball team scored a spirited victory over the United States in the playoff for 13th to 16th position at the U19 World Volleyball Championship.
The match, held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Pakistan dominated the opening set with a commanding 25-14 win.

The U.S. bounced back in the second set, edging out Pakistan 25-22 to level the game. However, Pakistan regained control in the decider and sealed a victory with a 25-18 win.
With this victory, Pakistan now advances to play for the 13th spot.
Earlier in the Round of 16, Pakistan had put up a valiant fight against world no.1 Poland but narrowly lost 3-2 in a thrilling contest.
