Gold Prices Surge in Pakistan Amid Global Rally
Gold prices in Pakistan saw a notable jump on Thursday, tracking global trends and fluctuations in the currency market.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the rate for 24-karat gold rose by Rs2,900 per tola, reaching Rs362,200.
The price hike is being attributed to a rise in international gold rates and changes in the rupee-to-dollar exchange rate. Globally, gold climbed by $29, settling at $3,395 per ounce.

In the domestic market, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased to Rs310,528, while 22-karat gold stood at Rs284,661 — reflecting gains of Rs2,487 and Rs2,280 respectively.
The association clarified that these rates are calculated based on 999-purity gold and align with prevailing interbank exchange figures.
Silver prices also experienced a boost. The rate for 24-karat silver per tola increased by Rs49 to Rs4,059, while 10 grams of silver rose by Rs42, reaching Rs3,479. On the international front, silver prices hit $38.26 per ounce, a gain of $0.49.
