Amir Becomes Second Pakistani to Reach 400 T20 Wickets
Mohammad Amir achieved a significant career landmark during the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2025, when he picked up his 400th T20 wicket.
Representing Trinbago Knight Riders, Amir dismissed Fabian Allen in a contest against Antigua and Barbuda Falcons at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on Wednesday.
With this scalp, the left-arm pacer became only the second Pakistani bowler to cross 400 wickets in T20 cricket.

He reached the mark in his 343rd match, placing him ninth overall on the global list. Wahab Riaz remains Pakistan’s leading wicket-taker with 413 wickets.

Despite Amir’s personal success, his team fell short in the match. The Falcons posted 167-6, powered by Fabian Allen’s explosive 45 off 20 balls and skipper Imad Wasim’s 39 from 27.
In reply, Trinbago Knight Riders managed 159-6, with Colin Munro blasting 44 off 18 and Kieron Pollard unbeaten on 43.
Obed McCoy’s 4-39 sealed an eight-run win for the Falcons, while Rahkeem Cornwall and Shakib Al Hasan picked up two wickets each.
