Currency Market Shows Minor Fluctuations

The Pakistani Rupee showed little movement against the US Dollar in trading on Tuesday, with both the interbank and open market rates staying steady.

According to data shared by market dealers, the US Dollar was being bought at Rs 284.65 and sold at Rs 285.25 in the open market. Meanwhile, in the interbank system, the buying rate stood at Rs 282.15, almost unchanged from the previous day’s closing at Rs 284.

Currency traders noted that the market had been relatively stable over the past few sessions. They added that investor sentiment remained cautious, with little sign of sharp fluctuations.

Dealers pointed out that while the Rupee faced pressure from import payments, inflows from overseas workers had provided some stability.

Other major currencies also reflected steady patterns. The British Pound was selling at Rs 382.90, while the Euro traded at Rs 330.30. Regional currencies showed minor shifts, with the Saudi Riyal at Rs 76 and the UAE Dirham at Rs 77.60.
