Samar Rana Held Over Child Abuse Allegations
Lahore police have detained stage actor Samar Rana after a 14-year-old domestic worker accused her of physical abuse and facilitating sexual assault.
Officials said the minor claimed that five unidentified men allegedly raped her at the actor’s home while she was also subjected to violence by Rana.
Nawab Town police confirmed that a case had been filed and the actor taken into custody, while efforts were ongoing to track down the other suspects.

This is not the first time Rana has faced legal action. In 2022, she was arrested after the Lahore High Court cancelled her bail in a fraud case.
Authorities at the time alleged that she had defrauded a citizen of Rs 2.6 million in a property dispute by taking payment but refusing to vacate the house.
Local reports indicate that the actor has been linked to other fraud cases in the past. Police said investigations into the current allegations are underway.
