Local Gold Rates Rise Alongside Global Market

Gold prices in Pakistan rose once again on Monday, continuing a short upward trend in the local bullion market.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs500, bringing the new rate to Rs359,500.

Similarly, the cost of 10 grams of 24-karat gold went up by Rs429 to Rs308,213.

This follows a notable jump of Rs6,100 after nine days of decline earlier in the week, indicating renewed momentum in local prices.

In the global market, gold prices also moved upward. International rates increased by $5 per ounce, bringing the global price to $3,368.

While gold saw an upward trend, silver prices remained unchanged. The price of 24-karat silver stood at Rs3,953 per tola, and Rs3,389 for 10 grams, showing no movement compared to the previous session.
