Precious Metals Slide in Pakistan and Abroad
The price of gold in Pakistan fell sharply on Wednesday, reflecting a downward trend in both local and international markets.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the cost of 24-karat gold declined by Rs. 1,400 per tola, settling at Rs. 355,200 compared with Rs. 356,600 a day earlier.
Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs. 1,201 to Rs. 304,526, while the price of 10 grams of 22-karat fell by Rs. 1,101 to Rs. 279,158.

Silver prices also followed the same pattern. The association reported that the per-tola rate slipped by Rs. 96 to Rs. 3,935, and the price for 10 grams went down by Rs. 82 to Rs. 3,373.
The international market recorded a decline as well, with gold losing $14 to trade at $3,325 per ounce, down from $3,339. Silver slid by $0.96, settling at $37.02 from $37.98.
